10 Reasons Why Seth Rollins Vs. Triple H Feud Makes Perfect Sense
8. Seth Rollins Held the WWE Title Longer Than Triple H Ever Did
Likewise, Triple H's WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign lasted a solid 70 days. It marked his ninth stint with the prestigious prize and his 14th world title in WWE overall. While it wasn't his longest stint with the strap, it wasn't his shortest, either.
Of the nine times he has held the WWE title, his longest reign clocked in at a whopping 210 days, which went from Backlash 2008 to that year's Survivor Series pay-per-view. As impressive as that was, Seth Rollins' one reign from 2015 eclipsed that and every other reign he has ever had over the course of his career. And as noted, that was Rollins' first and only time in possession of the belt to date.
In the near-eight months he held the title for, Rollins defended against all comers. From Randy Orton to Brock Lesnar to John Cena to Sting, he faced only elite competition and walked away with his title intact every time. Granted, he wasn't booked super strong toward the end of his reign, and it can be argued that it wasn't as good as Triple H's past reigns.
But one thing you can count on is despite being responsible for helping Rollins win the gold at WrestleMania 31, Triple H is none the least bit pleased that his protege has grown to be as great (if not greater) than he ever was during his time on top.
