10 Reasons Why Shane McMahon Should Bring Back WCW Raw
10. Would Represent Exciting Kickstart To Brand Extension
First and foremost, if WWE are serious about the idea of bringing back their brand split, this could represent the perfect story. Simply having Monday Night Raw and Smackdown exist as different brands is an enticing idea, because it's one that hasn't been seen in years. However, there's a story lurking just beneath the surface that's absolutely ideal. When Shane McMahon made his return to the company, he said that he felt the product had become stale. Pointing his finger at Stephanie McMahon, Shane hinted that he wanted to wrestle some of that power back to his side. This is where Vince stepped in, making a match between Shane and The Undertaker for WrestleMania 32. This was largely unprompted, aside from Shane warning his father that he knew some things fans didn't. Could that knowledge be that Shane still owns WCW? If he were to emerge victorious at 'Mania and effectively own the rights to Raw, there's no reason why Shane couldn't be looking to finish the job he started 15 years ago, taking over from his father. Reviving the WCW brand and pinning it to Raw would be one way to go about that.
