10 Reasons Why The Miz Is A Future WWE Hall Of Famer

3. He's A Much Better Wrestler Than Most Think He Is

As part of the Talking Smack promo battle, Daniel Bryan accused Miz of wrestling like a coward. He said that, when he was wrestling on the independent circuit, he saw The Miz as representative of a 'soft' WWE style that he had no respect for. Now, it's probable that Bryan's real feelings aren't quite as strong on this matter, but it's not the first time that criticisms have been levelled at Miz' abilities between the ropes.

It's true that Miz is a WWE product; he didn't spend a decade toiling away in all the 'bingo halls' around the world. He signed a developmental contract with WWE early in his career and was trained entirely by companies and people associated with WWE. But does this necessarily mean Miz is a bad wrestler? I don't think so.

Being entirely honest, it's obvious that Miz isn't a mercurial wrestling talent in the way some of the current top guys on the roster are. He's not going to be able to out-perform Seth Rollins or Kevin Owens or AJ Styles or Finn Balor. They have a breadth of experience wrestling all around the world in different promotions and for different audiences that Miz simply doesn't have.

But Miz is more than capable of handling his end of the bargain in a match, and this year alone he's been involved in some barnstormers. His title match with Dolph Ziggler at Backlash was his best match in years, and he was one quarter of one of the matches of the year (the Fatal 4 Way Intercontinental Title match at Extreme Rules).

He also had a very solid TV feud with AJ Styles not long after he debuted in early 2016. Miz is a good worker who can deliver a very good to great match with the right opponent. I reckon he's pretty underrated in the squared circle.
