The WWE Hall Of Fame is the ultimate lifetime achievement award for people who have given their life to the business of professional wrestling. Sometimes that phrase is depressingly literal, but usually it means the inductees are well-known names who made a unique impression during their time in the business.

Over the years it has become apparent that the HOF is therefore not only limited to the very tippy top of main event talent. There are no clear cut barriers to entry; nothing says 'you can't be in the HOF if you were never WWE Champion', for instance. This is brilliant, because it means that legends like Jake 'The Snake' Roberts and Rowdy Roddy Piper have been inducted and it doesn't matter that they never won the big one, as it were.

But Miz has won the WWE Championship. On the November 22nd edition of Monday Night Raw in 2010, Miz cashed in his Money In The Bank contract on Randy Orton and won the belt.

He held the championship for almost 6 months, including a WrestleMania main event win against John Cena. A lot of people like to nitpick and say that Miz' title reign was a dud, citing that he defended it against an ageing Jerry Lawler on PPV and that his 'Mania win over Cena was more about The Rock interfering than it was about Miz' victory.

In truth, if you want to pick it apart, you can, but the fact remains that The Miz was deemed worthy by the biggest sports entertainment company on the planet to hold their most prestigious title for nearly half a year. That is an achievement that relatively few people in the business can say they have accomplished, and so should never be played down.
