10 Reasons Why Wrestling Would Suck If It Was Real

1. It Would Make Fans Look Even More Like Psychopaths

So let's pretend that everything we see in wrestling is real and that the moves, storylines and weapons were all legitimate. Gimmick matches were real and the stories (which have included abuse of women, children and old people) were all true. I have to ask: What kind of sadists are we?

We usually have to defend wrestling being fake, but if it was real, just how would you defend the unspeakable levels of violence and manipulation that goes on in WWE. How could we defend Seth Rollins Curb Stomping Dean Ambrose's head through cinder blocks, innocent celebrities getting assaulted by wrestlers, women being forced to strip, commentators being set on fire, a child's custody being settled in a ladder match, or The Undertaker downright murdering people?

Viewed in that context, wrestling being fake is our greatest defense.

So the next time someone tries to dissuade you from watching wrestling by saying it's fake, you can tell them that's the best thing about it. Because if you think you would enjoy wrestling more if it was real, then maybe they should be talking you out of it.

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
