10 Reasons Why WWE Clash Of Champions 2020 Was The Best PPV Of The Year

7. Sasha Banks' Strong Comeback

As great as Clash of Champions was, the one blip on it was arguably the SmackDown Women's Championship match between Bayley and Asuka, simply because some fans weren't happy that the company made the two champs face off instead of pairing the former with another challenger. However, as WWE's hands were tied because of all the out-of-their-hands last-minute changes, it made sense that they relied on the female superstar who was actually in the building.

Regardless of all that, it proved to be a perfect vehicle for Sasha Banks' return and that is something that we simply cannot overlook because it means we're finally going to see this long-teased rivalry take centre stage.

Bayley's assault of Sasha a few weeks back pulled the trigger on the feud, but this upped the ante in a huge way, confirming that we don't have to wait any longer for it to happen. And, in the process, it was a highly convincing face turn for The Boss that portrayed her as someone Bayley shouldn't even think about taking lightly.

This program has been one of the most exciting in wrestling today and that was only based on the potential that it held. Now it's finally a tangible entity that will no doubt reach even greater heights in the weeks ahead.

This is only the beginning... but what a beginning it was.
