10 Reasons Why WWE Clash Of Champions 2020 Was The Best PPV Of The Year

5. A Batsh*t Ambulance Match

As undeniably good as the feud between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton has been, it was hard to get excited for their Ambulance Match.

The truth is that Ambulance Matches can be dreary affairs that offer up little more than limited violence, broken up wrestling and a lot of walking around. That said, the WWE Championship bout at Clash of Champions came up with effective methods of making it that much more bearable... and, as a result, this actually made it pretty damn enjoyable.

With Claymore Kicks into ambulance doors and a scoop slam onto the bloody windshield, it had plenty of the ridiculously over-the-top stunts that sell these matches, but it also had something a little different too. Yes, the multitude of legend cameos may have been rather divisive, but they successfully filled the inevitable lulls and gave the creative team a way of breaking up Orton's traditionally slow approach - one that also played very well into the storyline.

It wasn't a classic by any means, but it was a surprisingly fun title match that exceeded expectations.
