10 Reasons Why WWE Fans Should Get Over CM Punk Already

5. He Is A UFC Contracted Fighter

It seems a lot of CM Punk marks can't quit wrap their heads around the concept of the man's contract with Ultimate Fighting Championship, so let's break it down. To put things in a simplified form, CM Punk is signed to a six-fight deal with UFC that only the fighting organisation can terminate at any time. Big-name fighters generally only compete two or three times a year, and although Punk is a previously untrained fighter despite his background in jiu-jitsu, his media status and notoriety put him on par with the company€™s top stars. Punk has been signed to UFC since December of 2014 and has only now confirmed his first fight against Ricky Gall. The fight is rumoured to be scheduled to take place at UFC 199 in June, 18 months after Punk put pen to paper. Assuming he doesn't drastically break UFC's code of contact or get utterly trounce in his first handful of fights, CM Punk will be contracted to UFC for years to come. Translation: CM Punk is not coming back to WWE for years, if he comes back at all.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
