4. CM Punk Was Not The 'Best In The World'

It seems that a large amount of WWE fans bought into the 'Best in the World' line that Punk began spouting, being sucked into what is essentially little more than WWE's marketing. The reality is that CM Punk was not the best wrestler in the world. Sure, he dominated WWE for a handful of years and was clearly an entertaining draw, but it takes years of maintaining a position at the top to earn that tagline. Could Punk have been the best in the world? Maybe. It's possible considering he managed to scrap his way to the top as somebody who was genuinely never meant to make it that far, but given his attitude towards the way WWE operates, probably not. It's a shame we won't be able to see just how great CM Punk could have become as a sports entertainer over a longer period of time.
