6. His Attitude Was Terrible
It needs to be stressed that if any of us were in the position CM Punk was in at one point with WWE, we would probably have a terrible attitude as well. However, Punk was eventually afforded a significant amount of luxuries the vast majority of WWE performers will never receive, yet his attitude never improved. Yes, there was a time when CM Punk was repressed by WWE. After all, his two runs with the World Heavyweight Championship were booked terribly and were treated almost as an afterthought at times, despite Punk producing excellent work in segments and matches. That all changed after Punk's 'pipe bomb' promo. The fans connected with Punk in a way they never have before and the Straight-Edge Superstar was thrust into the WWE spotlight, receiving all the spoils that are afforded to the main man in the company. The injury and overworking issues have been covered and WWE is completely at fault in that regard, but Punk was not being held down by WWE at the time of his departure, even though that's clearly how he sees it. Maybe he was so used to being held back by the company that he continued to feel unused for the remained of his time in WWE, who knows, but it was definitely not the case. CM Punk was earning very good money and was afforded a 434-day WWE Championship reign, the longest in modern WWE history. Hardly a suppressed talent, in my opinion.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
