10 Reasons Why You Need To Respect The Miz

6. Mr Money In The Bank

One of the greats to carry the briefcase as well as cash it in, Miz was the perfect man for the job at the time, standing head and shoulders above the chasing pack when he was victorious at the July 2010 event.

Breaking away from the midcard to join bonafide headliners such as Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and Edge in the Raw brand ladder match, Miz followed the victory with an impassioned promo, firing back at the countless critics and sceptics he'd faced during his career and predicting eventual victory in his WWE Title cash-in.

Still carrying the United States Championship at the time, he'd obnoxiously place himself on an island away from a relatively unified WWE roster as they staved off the devastating threat of Wade Barrett's Nexus stable.

Taking advantage of the tumult, he'd try several times to cash in on vulnerable champion Sheamus whilst tiptoeing around joining the Nexus fight without ever truly committing.

The immensely satisfying payoff to it all saw Daniel Bryan return to help WWE instead, enter into a feud with Miz, and take his US Title in a thrilling clash at September's Night Of Champions to free Miz up for his eventual WWE Title cash-in two months later.
