10 Reasons WrestleMania 32 Could Be Dropped From WWE Network

5. WrestleMania 31 Was The Least Profitable Mania Since 1997

Despite having a record gate and record merchandise sales, WrestleMania 31 actually ended up being the least profitable Mania since 1997. That's bad. Really bad when you consider where the WWF was in 1997 with struggles to even stay in business. That Mania was the one that Shawn Michaels skipped, leaving The Undertaker to main event against Sycho Sid. It bombed at the box office. Mania 31 suffered primarily because it was on the WWE Network. If it had been solely a pay per view show, it would have been way more profitable. That's something WWE have to consider with WrestleMania 32 and making sure they get the most money possible out of these expensive productions.
