10 Reasons WrestleMania 32 Was A Huge Disappointment

8. Blowing The Shaq Vs. Big Show Moment

The only actual surprise participant in any of the WrestleMania festivities was not even a wrestler.

Shaquille O’Neal being an entrant in The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal was a true shocker, and when he and Big Show squared off, something that had been rumoured and even teased for years. It was a cool moment that no one expected to see on this show.

They ran the spot where the two giants face off, get separated and toss aside 28 other men so that they can meet back in the centre of the ring, but rather than do anything other than glare menacingly at each for far too long and then grab each others throats, they did nothing before being ganged up on and tossed over the top.

It was a huge letdown for what should have been an electric moment that at least led to a slugfest or something a little more exciting than a staring contest.

As far as the battle royal itself, the right man won in Baron Corbin, as he’s been showing a tremendous amount of improvement over the last several months and this was his chance to make an impact and get his name known with the WWE casuals, but that Shaq/Show moment could and should have been so much more.

Hopefully this leads to a match in the near future.
