WWE really have nothing to lose in doing a Reigns versus IWC narrative over the next few months, with the time for experimentation always being ripe in the months after WrestleMania.

'Mania season is over, and things won't get really hot again until the summer. That gives them time to test Reigns out with new concepts and opponents, as the next few months really aren't that massively important anyway.

Shows like Payback and Extreme Rules aren't going to be at the level of WrestleMania, Money in the Bank or SummerSlam so WWE can test the Reigns versus IWC wrestlers feud out. If it works, great, if it doesn't then they can then go back to a big name feud in the summer.
