10 Reasons WWE Booked Dean Ambrose Vs Brock Lesnar

3. Ambrose Was Out Of Alternatives

It is crazy to think that just the other week Dean Ambrose was Intercontinental Champion. His initial outlook for WrestleMania wasn't too good, with most observers expecting him to defend his IC title somewhere on the undercard. A ten minute match with Chris Jericho looked like the best bet, or maybe a bout with AJ Styles. The other likely match was a multi-person ladder match similar to last year's opener. Either way, it was clear Ambrose was getting too big for just an Intercontinental Title role at WrestleMania. And when it came down to it, there really weren't a lot of alternatives for him. Brock Lesnar was the one big match they could do with Ambrose, either that or Triple H, but that wasn't going to happen based on WWE's continued infatuation/obsession with Roman Reigns. When it came down to it, Brock Lesnar versus Dean Ambrose was the only thing that made sense for The Lunatic Fringe.
