4. A Goodwill Match For The Smark Fans

WWE have catered to the casual mainstream audience with the Triple H versus Roman Reigns and Shane McMahon versus The Undertaker matches at WrestleMania. But for the purist wrestling fan and the smark fans, there really wasn't set to be anything really appealing in the main event 'Mania scene. The Wyatt versus Lesnar match didn't feel big, and the Owens match (against Styles or Zayn) is only likely to be a ten minute undercard offering. Something of smark value needed to be made in one of 'Mania 32's big slots, otherwise goodwill with WWE's most vocal fans would be lost. T That could have resulted in a grumpy crowd and online sniping in the build up. But with the Ambrose/Lesnar match, WWE have provided the smark crowd something to be happy about. Dean is an IWC favourite, as is Lesnar. Putting them together has resulted in the real main event for a particular set of fans.
