10 Reasons WWE Champion John Cena Must Lose To Brock Lesnar At SummerSlam
3. Sets Up A Big Money "Rubber Match"
Cena won at Extreme Rules 2012, so if Lesnar wins at SummerSlam, you have their series tied up (with some of that WWE revisionist history, of course). The only way to settle that score is to have a third, and final, match with some sort of "there must be a true winner" stipulation attached to it. Normally, you'd say Hell In A Cell for something like that, but that would mean we'd skip the feud at Night Of Champions. Whatever it is, and whatever it would take, the third match would have to be something special to make sure we get a winner. Wrestling Booking Logic 101 would have Cena be the winner of that, as the conquering face, but we won't go that far into fantasy booking right now. The "Cena VS Lesnar: 2012-2014/2015" trilogy would go down as one of the greatest in wrestling history. Their match at Extreme Rules was fantastic, and people are expecting nothing less at SummerSlam. Their matches are hard-hitting and brutal, with plenty of rumors that there is genuine dislike between the two men. Adding the WWE World Title and a bigger stage like SummerSlam to the mix is only going to have both of them step their games up. Their "final showdown" is only going to take things to another level. It has all the potential in the world, if that's the direction that the company should decide they want to go in.
