10 Reasons WWE Champion Randy Orton Should Have Been Fired Years Ago

4. Wellness Violations/Fines

Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio Some things cannot be swept under the rug, especially when it comes to violating WWE's Wellness Policy. Cageside Seats reports that Orton was fined for smoking marijuana backstage in April 2006 €“ not a punishable offense, but a finable one. Orton's first official violation came in August 2006. He tested for a steroid that he did not have a prescription for, and worked without pay for 30 days. This offense was not publicized, as per the policy at that time. The following year, Randy's name was cited with ten other wrestlers' in a lawsuit involving online purchases of HGH and steroids from Signature Pharmacy. He was not punished at the time for reason of double jeopardy with the first offense. In May 2012, he was suspended for 60 days for his second official policy violation. I cannot find many (credible) details on this violation, but suffice it to say, not many top Superstars can boast a two-strike status. Can you hear the warning bells? No, neither can Vince. As soon as Orton's back, let's have him beat Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio over and over again!
