10 Reasons WWE Fans Are Still Chanting CM Punk’s Name
9. Outside Of The Yes Chant, New Babyfaces Havent Really Inspired Any New Chants
Okay. So in in the first four months of 2014 in WWE, CM Punk left the company and Daniel Bryan's neck fell off his body (or something). Of course, for the fans, when Punk and Bryan left, there went babyfaces one and two on the roster, and with them went the fans' ability to chant for most anything or anyone that they *really* wanted to cheer for on the show. Of course, in their wake, new babyfaces one, two and three - John Cena, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose - have done an admirable job of engendering crowd support, but outside of bellowing before Roman Reigns' spear and saying "You Can't See Me" during Cena's "Five Knuckle Shuffle," there's really not much else that a fan on the side of the company's top babyfaces can do to get behind their favorite guys. Chanting "CM Punk" is fun at this point, just because. Chanting "YES" became a "movement" that yielded high returns on the merchandising and live event attendance front - and thus cannot be forgotten. Thus, if neither person responsible for these chants that were extrapolated into major benefits for the company are present, then why isn't WWE more strongly considering having a sit down with say, Dean Ambrose, and figuring out a way to get the crowd to chant "Cra-zy Dean," "LU-NA-TIC" or SOMETHING, ANYTHING to defray the WWE audience's insistence on chanting the name of a wrestler who's likely done with the professional wrestling industry forever.
