10 Reasons WWE Fans Need To Realise Dean Ambrose Is Not Main Event Talent
1. He's No Poster Boy
The most prominent problem facing Ambrose in his quest to be one of the top stars in the industry actually piggybacks off of another issue on this countdown: his look. Not only is Ambrose not the most defined body in the sport, he also lacks the superstar look that Vince McMahon cherishes in his poster boys.
Ambrose may have the market cornered on fangirls and Internet fan-fic but he does not look like the traditional, handsome face that McMahon covets for posters and promotional materials. He is rough around the edges, a true alternative of the chiseled jaws and dark, mysterious heartthrob.
That may not have much appeal to hardcore wrestling fans, who appreciate the quality of one's performance and the product that they help present, but in terms of marketing the company to the masses, McMahon prefers guys and girls with distinct looks that capture the attention of the mainstream.
Ambrose is not that guy, unfortunately. Unlike his inconsistent performances or lack of defining match, the man himself can do nothing about that.
