10 Reasons WWE Fans Need To Realise Dean Ambrose Is Not Main Event Talent
9. His Size
It would be nice to think WWE management has moved beyond measuring a performer's worth by his size but, in 2016, that remains a major selling point for main event talent.
At 6-foot-4-inches, Dean Ambrose is anything but small. He is taller than Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart were, but his relatively small build has prevented him from joining guys like Roman Reigns, John Cena, Big Show, Brock Lesnar, Undertaker and even Seth Rollins at the top of the card.
There is no denying the popularity of Ambrose or his workhorse mentality. Unfortunately, one's build is as important to Vince McMahon as any other characteristic, evidenced by his unwavering support of Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, The Rock and Brock Lesnar.
All of those stars had immeasurable charisma, of course, but to pretend their pushes were not partly the result of their look would be irresponsible.
Ambrose has the "it" factor, but his lack of a more sculpted bodybuilder physique has affected his growth as a headliner, even if only a bit in today's WWE.
