10 Reasons WWE Fans Need To Realise Dean Ambrose Is Not Main Event Talent
8. Too Many Babyface Headliners
Continuing on with the idea that Ambrose is not fully to blame for his inability to consistently succeed as a main event star in WWE, we take a look at the plethora of babyface heroes that have clogged his path to greatness.
With high priority superstars such as John Cena and Roman Reigns ahead of him, and part-time competitors like Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker returning from time-to-time to compete in some of the most important matches of the year, Ambrose often finds himself stuck on the outside looking in at the main event scene.
Only when major injuries occur or there is a special gimmick match of sorts that WWE is desperate to put in the main event spot does Ambrose warrant the marquee spot on the card. Fans have watched him headline shows in the past, most notably October 2014's Hell in a Cell against Seth Rollins.
The wealth of headliners ahead of him on the proverbial totem pole forces Ambrose back down the card when his story wraps up, preventing him from permanently breaking through the glass ceiling.
