10 Reasons WWE Fans Need To Realise Dean Ambrose Is Not Main Event Talent
4. He Never Wins
It is difficult to imagine a scenario where anyone can be taken seriously as a main event star when they are constantly losing every major match they compete in. Ambrose finds himself in that position, regularly part of some fairly high-profile bouts but the runner-up in all of them.
WrestleMania 32 was the perfect opportunity for Ambrose to be legitimised in the eyes of fans, his star established via victory over Brock Lesnar in a Street Fight. Instead, he was unceremoniously beaten down and dispatched of by The Beast Incarnate, who sent a message to fans that Ambrose is not - and probably never will be - on his level.
A loss weeks earlier to Triple H at Roadblock in Toronto just about killed all of Ambrose's momentum.
Even in matches against stars like Seth Rollins, who is by no means on a level far greater than him, Ambrose has struggled to gain acceptance from WWE Creative via a monumental victory, proving that while Ambrose's popularity remains high, so to does his losing record in major matches.
