10 Reasons WWE Fans Should Be Worried About The Women’s Revolution
6. Ember Moon’s Eclipse
Ember Moon is a brilliant, athletic worker who was a stand out on NXT. Her talent and appeal is encapsulated in her crowd popping finisher The Eclipse.
Arguably more impressive than the likes of Ricochet’s 630 Senton or Ali’s 045, The Eclipse is a thing of beauty and brutality. It is the sort of move that should be regularly lighting up WWE TV.
WWE should be pushing Ember to the moon, if you’ll forgive the pun. At least they should be putting her over regularly on television, not miring her in petty disputes about broken Nintendo consoles.
Their misuse of Moon is emblematic of a wider inability to utilise their women’s roster beyond the immediate title picture. Creative don’t know how to write engaging stories for women and can’t find the screentime to showcase them anyway. Consequently the midcard is left with little or nothing to do.
What should be a deep pool of talent ends up looking remarkably shallow instead.
