10 Reasons WWE Fans Should Be Worried About The Women’s Revolution

3. Lacey Evans

To get it out of the way, here is the obligatory, “none-of-this-is-Lacey-Evans’-fault,” bit. She is no doubt doing her absolute best out there and isn’t half bad on the microphone. The problem is Lacey Evans was called up far too soon from NXT. Evans is currently still green as Kermit and as the felt frog himself noted, it’s not easy being green.

Blonde and long legged, ‘The Lady of WWE’ betrays Kevin Dunn and Vince McMahon’s lingering preference for the “athletic tens” WWE used to hire irrespective of ability.

A botchy main roster debut at the Royal Rumble wasn’t enough to convince them of their mistake. Instead they ploughed ahead with the Lacey Evans superpush.

Charlotte Flair, a wrestler you suspect could, like her old man, carry a broom to an entertaining match, could only manage an embarrassing botch-fest against Evans. Still the superpush continues.

“The Man” Becky Lynch could be using her current popularity and status to elevate overlooked talent via a title feud. Instead Lacey Evans is going after Becky’s belt in a programme that also features Universal Champion Seth Rollins.

Lacey’s ongoing place in the main event scene is proof that old habits die hard in WWE.
