10 Reasons WWE Fans Should Boycott WrestleMania 31

3. The Daniel Bryan Situation

In an act that can only be described as WWE trolling its own fanbase, Vince McMahon and the creative team have gone to great lengths to get fans to believe they are going to do something great with Daniel Bryan, only to spit in their faces by the end. The past two years, Bryan is and was the clear number one babyface in the company but, due to various backstage reasons, WWE has refused to allow Bryan to win the Royal Rumble or to participate as a main event player. Last year, Vince desperately wanted Batista vs. Randy Orton for the main event of Wrestlemania, honestly thinking it would be the biggest Wrestlemania main event of all-time (shows just how out of touch he actually is). Instead, the audience forced him to call an audible since the crowd was near mutiny after CM Punk's departure. McMahon never wanted Bryan in the main event since Bryan represents everything that Vince thinks a pro wrestler isn't. Bryan isn't 6'5, isn't 300 lbs., doesn't have a traditional muscular look, and flies around the ring like a cruiserweight. For a company who says they "put smiles on people's faces", the past two Rumbles have seemed to be an exercise in crowd frustration. By the way, another company did this at one point in their existence as well. Fans would tell the company what they wanted to see and who they wanted to see and the company would ignore them and shove the same old crap down their throats. This company was called WCW and they went out of business. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
