10 Reasons WWE Fans Will Hate Sting Vs The Undertaker

9. Both Men Might Need A Better "Pace Guy"

Both Sting and Taker are obviously veterans of the ring and don't need to be led around like rookies who don't know what they're doing. However, with both men being in such an advanced stage in their careers, they both require a better "pace man" opponent... someone who can come in and change the pace a little bit, so that the match doesn't slow to a crawl too often. We're in a different day and age, with fan attention spans being different than we've ever seen. If you go back and look at Taker's recent WrestleMania matches, you have opponents that can change the pace and keep things exciting when they need to be. CM Punk, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Edge, and so forth... they're all capable of doing so, and are the proverbial students of the game, able to know when to do it. Nothing against Brock Lesnar, but he isn't on that level, and that's part of the reason why last year's match ended up disappointing a lot of people. If Brock couldn't do it, how many people truly think Sting can do it? Sting is older, slower, less athletic, and has many more miles logged than Lesnar does. It isn't likely that he'd do it properly.
