10 Reasons WWE Got It Right With John Cena As World Champion

8. Cena Is A Safety Net

WWE.comWWE.comWhen in doubt, go to Cena. That must be what Vince, Triple H, and many of the other backstage workers keep thinking in the back of their minds whenever they start coming up with storyline ideas. Cena is their safety net because he has a solid reputation with the workers, does a lot of great charity work which gives WWE a good impression, and he can work through multiple injuries while still attending special events and conducting interviews which promote upcoming shows. When WWE tried to put the belt on Daniel Bryan, their intention was to give Bryan a decent reign and have him be the face of WWE second only to Cena. Then Bryan got injured, and now it€™s unknown just how long he€™ll be gone for. It€™s no fault of Bryan, but at that moment he wasn€™t a reliable champion by WWE standards. While Cena is no stranger to injuries that have kept him on the inactive list, his ring work is less risky than Bryan€™s, and it€™s an overall safe bet that Cena can keep hold of the WWE World Heavyweight Champion for a longer period of time.
