Daniel Bryan wasn't the first aspiring main event babyface that Triple H stared at the lights for. In fact, going further, Bryan wasn't even the first to receive this gift from 'The Game' at WrestleMania. Back in 2006, John Cena emerged victorious over Triple H in the 'Mania 22 main clash, and afterwards looked like the most important star in the entire WWE organisation. That was the plan, and both Cena and HHH executed it to perfection. Almost a full decade ago, Triple H made WWE's current poster boy look fantastic. The match went around 22 minutes (ironically, given the title of the event), and provided WWE with a satisfying babyface conclusion to the biggest show of the year. There was no ego on display in this one, and Triple H lost clean as a whistle via submission. Cena's babyface validity is questionable, because a lot of fans seem to relish booing the man instead of cheering. That is besides the point, Triple H could have easily shut down Cena at 'Mania and refused to allow him to shine so brightly. The fact that didn't happen only aided Cena's cause in the eyes of the fans, who realised he was there to stay at the top of the card. What else do you think WWE should be thankful to Triple H for?
