10 Reasons WWE RAW 25 Was Such A Letdown
1. No Major Angles Set Up
When WWE had their 1000th episode of RAW in 2012, they tried their damndest to make it feel like an important show not just with the cameos from legends, but with the storyline progressions. You had the announcement that The Rock would challenge for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble, you had AJ Lee and Daniel Bryan's wedding fiasco, and of course, you had CM Punk's heel turn at the end. It was more than a milestone show, it was an important chapter in several key storylines going on.
What did RAW 25 do to make itself important? Were there any WrestleMania matches teased? Were there any bombshell revelations as to who would be participating at the Royal Rumble? Did anyone debut? Did anyone return in-ring? Were there heel turns? Swerves? Anything that made this show feel like anything than mindless filler?
There was none of that. RAW 25 was a depressing clip show of stars past their prime being trotted out to wave at the crowd while some heatless matches took place. It was, to put it simply, an insult to the legacy of the show.
