10 Reasons WWE Should Renew Brock Lesnar's Expiring Contract

8. The WWE Network Needs Him

In the glory days of the 1990s, we would be talking about how much of a draw Brock Lesnar is. We would measure his worth to the company in the number of pay-per-view buys that his matches produced and judge his value based on that number. However, WWE has killed its own pay-per-view business with the launch of the WWE Network. Now, success is based on the number of subscribers to the Network, which may have absolutely nothing to do with Brock Lesnar or the latest pay-per-view installment. However, there's only so much classic wrestling people can watch before they want to see something interesting from the current product. The Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena Summerslam main event was a definite reason to shell out $9.99 for the WWE Network and lock yourself into a six month commitment. It's no secret that the WWE Network needs all the help it can get and Brock Lesnar provides that star power. You can't headline pay-per-views with Ryback vs. Dolph Ziggler unless you're desperate to go bankrupt, so Lesnar is a necessary evil.

Mike Shannon hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
