10 Reasons WWE Royal Rumble 1992 Is Still The Best

6. The Contribution of Sid Justice.

If you only know Sid Justice from clips of his 'I have half a brain' promo or being confused as to if he's on live television or not then you would be forgiven for thinking that he was a clueless lump. His unintended mishaps often detract from what he did best however. In the early nineties there weren't many wrestlers in either WWF or WCW who were as good at playing the role of 'unhinged big man' as Sid Eudy.

The 1992 Royal Rumble match represents Sid's one and only appearance in the match itself and he's only in there for around six minutes yet he certainly makes the very most of it. Entering at number twenty nine he managed to eliminate Randy Savage (officially this time) and Hulk Hogan. Not long after this Sid is hauled over the top rope last by Ric Flair with assistance from Hogan. This event would then start the process towards the Hogan versus Sid match at WrestleMania that year, reported at the time to be Hulk Hogan's last match.

Quite often the winners of each Royal Rumble match can be brough up from memory but the almost as important runner up spot is usually forgotten. This isn't the case for this Rumble match and the sadly departed Sid Justice deserves far more credit for that.
