10 Reasons WWE SummerSlam 2015 Sucked

4. The Finish Of Rollins Vs Cena

Despite all the problems previously mentioned, the show could have been regarded as a great one had its two biggest matches delivered. Unfortunately they were undone by a combination of factors. John Cena and Seth Rollins put on a fantastic match, the undisputed match of the night, and one which could have realistically ended at a number of points. There were enough big, shocking spots worthy of a clean pinfall for Rollins, including his amazing Attitude Adjustment, figure-four reversal, and otherworldly superplex/falcon arrow combination. He would have come out of the match looking a far stronger heel champion than previously, putting a lot of his "coward" criticisms to rest. Instead, he won with the help of Jon Stewart. The decision to have the SummerSlam host run out, tease an attack on the WWE Champion, and then drill Cena with a steel chair was an incredibly short-sighted one. Sure, the WWE will benefit from a short burst of mainstream exposure, taking advantage of Stewart's currently high stock - but in the long run, they turned down the chance to give their champion a major, major boost.
