Celebrity endorsement and Wrestlemania have gone hand in hand ever since the first blockbuster show. Mr T, Muhammad Ali, Cyndi Lauper and Liberace paved the way and now the WWE Hall of Fame has its own Celebrity wing. It has to count in the UK's favour then that the popularity of British Celebrities is stronger with American audiences now more than ever.

James Cordon has been accepted as host of The Late Late Show after replacing Craig Ferguson. Simon Cowell has been immortalised in the USA for American Idol. Piers Morgan instigates social debate even more in the States than he does at home. Not to mention the plethora of Actors and Actresses currently the toast of Hollywood - Eddie Redmayne, Felicity Jones, Benedict Cumberbatch, Emily Blunt, Henry Cavil, EmiIia Clarke, Idris Elba, Kate Beckinsale, Tom Hiddleston, Daniel Craig - the list goes on and on and on.

Whats more, if the WWE do pull the trigger on a Conor McGregor appearance it makes perfect sense having that happen in the UK. Being so close to Ireland would guarantee a strong contingent of support and a raucous reaction that sometimes gets lost when non WWE personnel appear.. Make no mistake, McGregor would get a big reaction wherever he showed up, but the Wembley Stadium atmosphere would guarantee a memorable Wrestlemania moment.
