10 Reasons WWE Will Bring WrestleMania To The UK Soon
4. The Superstars
It's a well known Rock Star cliche to announce the town your in has the best fans in the world, but the WWE superstars seem very vocal in supporting a UK based Wrestlemania. John Cena made waves a couple of years ago when he announced live on Monday Night Raw he felt the British fans deserved a Wrestlemania. Pandering aside, having the biggest star in the company voice his support on TV (not just off air) was a significant moment.
You can almost visibly see the wrestlers raise performance levels and feed off the crowd energy when a show broadcasts from the likes of Chicago, Toronto, New York or the UK. Of course, they do not have the final say, but if they continue to lobby on social media for the show to go to London then management will eventually listen.
There is a strong contingent of UK and Irish Superstars in the current crop of WWE talent too: Sheamus, Paige, Neville, Noam Dar and various NXT prospects would all receive home town support should the event take place. A Megastar from across the pond is the final piece of the jigsaw and WWE may of recently found him. Finn Balor became the inaugural Universal Champion at SummerSlam and when the Irish superstar returns from his shoulder injury there is no doubt he has a big main event push in store. If he succeeds as expected, WWE may want to capitalise on the huge home support he would undoubtedly receive.
