10 Reasons WWE Won’t Pull The Trigger On Dean Ambrose
7. The Way He's Been Booked Since The Shield's Split
Let's face it, Dean hasn't been booked like a man WWE see as a potential main eventer since The Shield split up. He's been relegated to a comedy act, while he went through a period of calling on the 'toys' all too often - especially during his feud with Bray Wyatt, which made him the proverbial walking gimmick. But it's his recent run as Roman Reigns' sidekick that has done the most damage. He became the Marty Jannetty of the pair, being The Big Dog's chief cheerleader and beer getter. Sheamus proved how disastrously a WWE World Heavyweight Champion can be received when coming in from the cold, and although Ambrose would have got a huge pop on the night, you would have to feel it would've been a similar run in the long term if he was handed the belt at Survivor Series. How he carries the Intercontinental Championship over this upcoming WrestleMania season will go a long way to determining his future. Ambrose needs to legitimise himself again after so much sub-standard and poor booking.
