Shifting our focus to the post-'Mania RAW for now, Riddle's return reminded us how far the event has fallen since its heyday.

The RAW after WrestleMania used to feel like a giant party - a riotous, rowdy celebration of wrestling punctuated with roof-shattering pops for NXT call-ups and returning superstars. Now, no one cares about people coming up from NXT after years of mismanagement, and the only superstar to make a comeback this year was Matt Riddle.

To be fair to Riddle, he was hugely over as one-half of RK-Bro alongside Randy Orton. However, with Randy sidelined for the foreseeable future, Riddle's act loses a huge chunk of its appeal. Not only that, but his beatdown of the Miz was heavily neutered by the fact we had already seen the Miz get the crap kicked out of him twice at WrestleMania. As a result, his thrashing at Riddle's hands fell flat and made the Bro's WWE return one of the least exciting in recent memory.
