10 Reasons WWE's Brock Lesnar Experiment Has Failed

6. Uncreative Opponents

Brock Lesnar is known as a "prize fighter" in WWE. He's only in it for big money matches that draw attention to the company. This strategy isn't working and is causing this experiment to currently fail. Why are fans going to continually pay to see Lesnar wrestle the same guys over and over again? The lack of depth on the roster doesn't give Lesnar a variety of high profile opponents to wrestle against. Since his return, Lesnar has had three matches against John Cena and Triple H. He's also faced CM Punk, The Undertaker and The Big Show one time each. During his first run in WWE from 2002-2004, Lesnar had a series of matches against John Cena, Big Show and The Undertaker. Longtime fans can sense the lack of creativity a mile away when it comes to Lesnar. (Note: Lesnar faced Triple H one time during his first run in WWE in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Undisputed Title at "WWE Global Warning 2002.") While his matches against CM Punk and Triple H were a change of pace, WWE fans want to see how Lesnar fairs against a new crop of talent. Fresh matches against the likes of Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan gives fans something to look forward to in the future, but have they waited too long to save his run? We're hardly on the edge of our seats waiting for the next encounter between Lesnar and John Cena. While the rematch is logical, it's going to be difficult to deliver something completely different from their two most recent contests.
