2. Neville Walks Out

After not getting off to the strongest start, the Cruiserweight division desperately needed a star to build around heading into 2017. TJP, The Brian Kendrick and Rich Swann tried their best in the role of champion, but none of them were doing the type of numbers for 205 Live officials were likely looking for.

Enter Neville.

Fresh off his return from injury in the summer of 2016, Neville had basically become "The Man That Creative Forgot" after being left off Raw more often than not. Not only did his debut on 205 Live give the show a shot in the arm, it presented him with the opportunity to turn heel for the first time in his WWE career.

Of course, Neville took the ball and ran with it, quickly winning the Cruiserweight Championship from Swann and declaring himself "The King of the Cruiserweights." He went on to have a career year for himself by defending his title against all comers, and it was going to be a major moment when he was inevitably dethroned.

Regrettably, his second title reign came to an anticlimactic end at No Mercy, when he was beaten by Enzo Amore. And with that, the death of the division was nigh. You couldn't blame Neville for wanting to walk out after that.

Once Neville went home, he left behind a void that has yet to be filled.
