10 Reasons WWE's Cruiserweight Division Has Fallen

3. Enzo Amore

First and foremost, WWE breaking up Enzo Amore and Big Cass when they did was an absolutely dumb decision. Proceeding to put Enzo in the Cruiserweight division was even dumber.

There were so many reports coming out about Enzo being an annoyance backstage that WWE turning him heel was hardly surprising. The character change actually resulted in Enzo cutting some of the best promos of his career (for a few weeks, anyway), but it didn't change the fact that he was incredibly awful in the ring and was doing nothing to permanently bring new eyes to 205 Live.

From his series of mediocre matches with Kalisto to the nuclear "heat" he apparently had backstage, he wasn't the champion 205 Live needed, and thus it was shocker his reign lasted as long as it did. He did more to set the division back than he did to further it, which is why his abrupt dismissal in late January turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

With Enzo no longer at the helm of the division, 205 Live is just now coming along to what it should have been the whole time.
