10 Recent WWE PPVs That Were Worse Than WWE Fastlane 2016

10. Royal Rumble 2015

There's not much to say about the 2015 Royal Rumble that hasn't already been said, so here's the short version. The Rumble match itself was the worst in history, a poorly-structured, boring affair that saw crowd favorite Daniel Bryan eliminated after ten minutes, despite having made his return from career-threatening injury. WWE decision-makers hoped that eliminating Bryan early would mean that the fans would be back into the match by the end, but it didn't work that way. Roman Reigns, who entered at number 19, was hated, and a path of destruction carved by past-their-prime giants The Big Show and Kane saw other fan favorites like Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose unceremoniously eliminated. Even The Rock, who helped Reigns fight off an attack from the titans, couldn't turn the crowd to his favor. A weak undercard meant that the majority of the show was fairly useless - the only saving grace was a triple threat WWE Championship match between Brock Lesnar, John Cena, and Seth Rollins. The bout - one of the wildest in WWE history - was arguably the best match of 2015 and saved the show from being considered among the worst WWE PPVs of all time. Even with the classic brawl, though, the show averaged out to be quite weak.
