10 Recent WWE PPVs That Were Worse Than WWE Fastlane 2016
9. TLC 2014
With WWE Champion Brock Lesnar off hunting and collecting money, WWE made the decision to focus on younger talents in the fall of 2014. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins headlined the Hell in a Cell PPV, where Rollins scored a win after interference from Bray Wyatt. That set up Wyatt and Ambrose for a singles showdown at TLC in the event's titular match. The main event was a wild brawl that was marred by one of the company's all-time dumbest finishes - Ambrose, looking to inflict ultimate pain on Wyatt, grabbed a TV monitor and attempted to hit "The Eater of Worlds" with it. Unfortunately, the cord was just too short to reach Wyatt, so Ambrose attempted to yank the monitor lose. That caused a mini-explosion, blinding "The Lunatic Fringe" and leaving him easy prey for Sister Abigail. Essentially, Ambrose was felled by his own stupidity. Elsewhere on the card, John Cena and Seth Rollins had a good tables match, but it wasn't enough to offset the Big Show-Erick Rowan stairs match, the Ryback-Kane chairs match, or Rusev's third PPV win over Jack Swagger.
