10. The Wildcard Rule

Spare a thought for the sorry sap who had to log onto their WWE.com backend and write an article explaining the formula behind Vince McMahon's new "Wildcard Rule". Launched on the 6 May episode of Raw, this quirky system would theoretically keep Raw and SmackDown fresh by enabling three stars from each brand to jump weekly.

Or was it four? Five, maybe? How about six?

WWE didn't seem to care, so why should you? What was fine in theory didn't translate to television when the company blatantly dropped their own self-imposed limitations and let wrestlers invade whenever they felt like it. Now, in September, there's next-to-no chatter about any 'Wildcards'; the guys and gals do as they please without the "fines and even potential firing" penalties.

It's tragic that something to simple was made convoluted and eventually, presumably due to WWE's own realisation that they f*cked it up, ignored. They should just get rid of the brand split and be done with it if this mess was the soft alternative.
