3. The Baddest Woman On The Planet Flatters To Deceive

Ronda Rousey botched return

And while on the subject of this year's Show of Shows, a somewhat rushed but still highly-anticipated comeback clearly fuelled by the bright lights of a two-night "stupendous" extravaganza has ultimately fallen rather flat.

The sight of Ronda Rousey bursting into The Dome recently as she set her sights on winning a big one at 'Mania 38 acted as the smallest glimmer of hope exiting an already discussed damp squib of a Royal Rumble. But following on from this surprise entrance and victory in the titular bout, The Baddest Woman on the Planet has been made to feel like anything but that.

Shuffled into the standard brand of mediocre storytelling and run-of-the-mill back-and-forths that have occupied the main roster's Women's division since the days that trailed her epic rookie year, the speed of the former UFC Bantamweight Champion's loss of gloss and star power has been alarming, to say the least.

Sitting pretty far down the totem pole in terms of the names generating casual fan interest at the time of writing, WWE will be hoping Rousey can rediscover her gripping spark post-disappointing Charlotte Flair Texas showdown before their upcoming string of stadium shows comes into view.
