4. Two-Night 'Mania 38 Doesn't Quite Do The Numbers Desired
Ever intent on doing what has never been done before, this year saw WWE attempt to sell out Dallas, Texas' AT&T stadium for two nights running.
This being for the first-full crowd Show of Shows since 'Mania 35 and a company not exactly lacking in unjustified confidence, managing to move a whopping 80,000 tickets per night and break countless records in the process was going to be a walk in the park... until it wasn't.
Turns out, trying to obliterate the made-up heights of the previous dance inside of the home of the Dallas Cowboys isn't as easy as sticking Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey on a poster and producing mindless TV for a few weeks.
Before long, a lack of interest in comparison to what was expected resulted in Vinnie Mac pulling out his chequebook (along with his own tank top) and handing a Texas Rattlesnake what he needed to dust off his knee braces.
And despite WWE's announcement of over 77,000 fans a night in attendance over the course of the weekend, the more realistic numbers of around 65,000-per-evening, while still impressive and sitting as the "most-attended event in company history", likely didn't fully satisfy the record-hungry WWE Chairman.
