10 Recent Times Wrestlers Went Too Far
7. Jordynne Grace Apologises For "An Irresponsible And Unnecessary Tweet"
Sticking with Twitter comments that didn't exactly go down all too well with some, Jordynne Grace found herself in the headlines for all the wrong reasons back in July.
The iMPACT Wrestling star decided to take to Twitter to deliver her "coldest take", that being that disgraced former WWE wrestler Chris Benoit couldn't hang with today's top stars or "remember matches". As expected, the since-deleted tweet soon led to Benoit's name trending on the site, one that also saw Grace stating "may he burn in hell".
In the end, and on the back of a divided response from folks online and people within the industry, Grace apologised for her controversial words and what she described as "an irresponsible and unnecessary tweet".
Going further, Grace would also reveal that she reached out to a number of figures from the wrestling world on the matter, including Chavo Guerrero, Chris Jericho, and Benoit's son David. And these names would also support the iMPACT Knockouts World Champion's decision to begin fundraising for the Concussion Legacy Foundation, with Grace pledging $5,000 of her own money in her bid to reach a $20,000 target.
At least some good has come from a rather ill-advised bout of tweeting, eh...
