How did WWE fail to do anything meaningful with Andrade on the main roster? It beggars belief. El Idolo is elite in the ring, capable of working well with a variety of styles and also happens to be just about as handsome as pro wrestlers get. Andrade and Zelina Vega worked marvellously together as a main event act in NXT, yet the main roster run didn't ever really go beyond 'have good matches with Rey Mysterio on SmackDown'. Great matches, sure, but Andrade deserved more.

It wasn't for the want of trying on the part of his fiancée, 5,745-time WWE Women's Champion Charlotte Flair. As the WWE creative team twiddled their thumbs considering what to do with actual elite wrestler Andrade, the most dominant woman in modern WWE history pitched an angle where the two of them would be united onscreen. For reasons that don't need to go beyond the 'WWE creative team' to make sense, the pitch was turned down.

Yes, you shouldn't sh*t where you eat, but pairing Andrade and Charlotte on WWE TV was just about as no-brainer as it got, yet here we are. Charlotte is back to portraying a face or a heel on WWE TV (it really doesn't matter at this point) and Andrade is scheduled to face Alberto Del Rio, of all people.
