A WWE staple for over a decade and a half, it's pretty difficult to say Dolph Ziggler looks done for when he has had so many returns and failed pushes, but this past summer, something really strange happened.

In the dying embers of Vince McMahon's bizarre creative control, the 'Show Off' returned out of nowhere, dressed in a smart suit and with dry hair, and took a seat at ringside for Austin Theory's match with AJ Styles. There were no explanations and, at the end of the match, Ziggler obstructed Theory from using the Money in the Bank briefcase and then ended the show by blasting the MITB contract holder with a superkick.

What followed was a dull feud, with the veteran wanting to teach Theory respect (why?), and a month later Theory beat Ziggler on Monday Night RAW and that was that. All done.

For the following few weeks, Dolph mulled about with AJ Styles and the Judgement Day, but he hasn't been seen for nearly two months. Whatever plans were in place seem to have been scrapped, and once again, the former two-time World Heavyweight Champion finds himself kicking his heels in catering.

There is a terrific pro wrestler in Dolph Ziggler, but once again, it seems like he won't be getting the push or the airtime needed to really break through. As has been the case for over 15 years.
