10 Recent WWE Character Turns That Didn't Make Sense

There's no shortage of heel qualities in the characterization of The Miz. He's arrogant, sarcastic, annoying, cowardly, talks trash, has a hot wife, and the list goes on and on. So why then did WWE think that in late 2012 fans would rather support him than root against him?

Perhaps it was simply another poor decision on the part of the writers or Vince McMahon or whomever's idea it was to flip The Miz, but it just didn't work. The failure that was The Miz: WWE Good Guy was seen coming a mile a way, yet WWE did nothing but drive straight into it.

The company wisely reversed course not long after their decision but, once again, the damage had been done.

Notice a theme developing? The WWE guide to character arching seems to be: make obvious bad decision, try and undo said decision, end up back where you started, only much further behind. Repeat.

A radical idea would be for the decision makers to learn from their previous mistakes of turning the wrong guys so that they don't happen so often in the future. Instead, WWE seems perfectly content with throwing everything against the wall, hoping that something doesn't immediately fly right back at them, and keeping the status quo.

Miz as a babyface? Really? Really?
