10 Recent WWE Character Turns That Didn't Make Sense

2. Daniel Bryan

Speaking of organic good guys, Daniel Bryan is known as one of the most genuinely kind and caring wrestlers in the entire sports-entertainment industry.

This, in addition to his incredible talents inside the squared circle, allowed Bryan to become the most popular WWE superstar in 2013 and 2014. The trend would've likely continued for the next several years had Bryan been able to continue his in-ring career, but he was forced to retire last February due to concussion-related issues.

As much as it was a disappointing and heartbreaking story, it made sense. Years of working a ferocious style, going all out all the time had caught up to Bryan.

What didn't make sense was WWE's mindboggling decision to make Daniel Bryan a heel in 2013, aligning him with The Wyatt Family, smack dab in the middle of his white hot babyface run.

Bryan had been feuding with the Wyatts throughout the Fall of 2013 so when he decided to join forces with them, it made little sense storyline-wise and even less sense in reality. Why would WWE take its hottest superstar, the Leader Of The Yes Nation, a "movement" that had received mainstream media attention, and try to kill that?

It's one of the many enigmas that is WWE booking and it's good enough for #2 on the list.
